Get to know me!
My background:
Health-related epidemiologist, expert in data-analyses and registerbased research
My name is Carsten Hjorthøj. I was born in 1978, got my masters degree in public health science in 2006 og my PhD in psychiatry in 2012. I am a highly prolific researcher with more than 200 papers in PubMed. I am mainly employed as a senior researcher and research leader in Region Hovedstadens Psykiatri, but I love working with all sort of data and thus now offer my expertise to others on the side.
I have extensive experience with analysis of both researchers’ own data and of register-data. As an external expert, I have analyzed data for clients / researchers from several research groups in Region Hovedstaden and Region Sjælland. I was methods consultant on the National Clinical Guidelines for Difficult to Treat Depression and have, with great collaborators, written a Danish textbook in biostatistics and epidemiology.
I make sure that I am up-to-date on methods of epidemiology and randomized trial. I love crunchinf numbers and data, and I am looking forward to helping you get the best out of your data!
I love and respect data. Data is (unfortunately) easy to manipulate or misinterpret. I am your guarantee that the answers, you get from your data, are the correct ones!
